Frequently Asked Questions

Are pets allowed?

No one loves animals more than we do! Unfortunately though, with different residents having different allergies, etc. it’s not possible for us to allow pets in our facility. We do however often have service animals visit for pet therapy, and other similar activities.

Are visitors always allowed?

Family is always welcome to visit! We do have posted visiting hours, which are typically 10:00AM – 8:00PM, however we are always happy to make exceptions when necessary or requested.

Can I bring my furniture?

Sure! We want you/your loved one to bring the things that make them feel the most at home. As long as it will fit in the room that you have selected, you are more than welcome to bring whatever will help the transition. Additionally, it’s not required that you bring your own furniture. If this is something you don’t want to have to add to your list, please just let us know and we generally have plenty of our own furniture which can be used by our residents at no cost.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

There are no long-term contracts with us. The only thing that we do require if you decide to move elsewhere is a 30-day notice. Otherwise, it’s our job to constantly go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy! (which we are really good at!)

Does Medicare pay for assisted living?

Unfortunately at this time, Medicare does not pay for services in an assisted living facility. The majority of residents in assisted living facilities are paying for their services with private funds.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing is fair and transparent, and depends on many different factors. Please feel free to look at our pricing page, or give us a call directly with any specific questions.

What is your hiring process? Are caregivers screened?

Our caregivers go through a rigorous interviewing and screening process before they are permitted to start working with our residents. The following are the basics that a candidate must go through prior to receiving an offer for employment:

  • Minimum of 3 in-person interviews, all with different managers.
  • Skills test and written test regarding situational care.
  • Reference checks for a minimum of 3 previous employers.
  • All employees are background checked for criminal history, not only on a state basis, but on a national basis for safety.
  • At times additional criminal background checks may be utilized to rule out any potential issues.
  • Verification that the applicant is not excluded from providing care to those receiving assistance from Medicaid.
  • Nurse Aid Registry search to verify no prior records of abuse.
  • Homeland Security E-Verify for citizenship verification.
